THANK YOU to all the PA Dutch Region members that made this years public auction a success!!!
AUCTION NEWS
The PA Dutch Auction and Car Corral has been a great success again, for the 22nd year on a windy bright clear sunny crisp day. The Auction "Where old car parts get their second chance for the first time" was made possible by fifty two vendors who offered their unneeded cache of old car parts to about 230 bidders. Eighty two volunteers, almost all PA Dutch members, were hosts to this event.
The Car Corral under the watchful eyes of Charlie Sando and Pete Leiss corralled 16 vehicles. A 1978 Pontiac was sold and word has it that several cars left at the end of the day with potential buyers chasing after them. So, if the car wasn't sold at the Corral, it got exposure to attract a buyer.
The new enlarged PA Dutch "Dining Hall" was a hit this year under the management of Joan Dundore and her able chefs. It was a great place to hang out and get warm. Everyone one ate well Fri morning as we unloaded and setup all the parts and all day at Saturdays auction.
We are indebted to the AACA Museum who allowed the use of their parking area for the Corral and cleaned out the Taylor storage building and parking lot for our use.
